Apostille
Kyrgyzstan has been a party to the 1961 Hague Apostille Convention since 2011. Documents issued in Kyrgyzstan can therefore be used in other member countries with an apostille only — no consular legalisation needed.
Depending on the type of document, the apostille is issued by different competent authorities (for example in the areas of education, justice or civil registration). We identify the right authority, prepare the document, obtain the apostille and translate it if required.

Frequently asked questions
Is an apostille valid in every country?
No. An apostille is only valid in Hague Convention countries that have not objected to Kyrgyzstan's accession. The UAE, Qatar and Egypt, for example, require consular legalisation. Austria and Greece objected to Kyrgyzstan's accession, so consular legalisation is needed for them as well.
Can a foreign document be apostilled in Kyrgyzstan?
No. An apostille can only be issued in the country where the document was issued. For foreign documents we can arrange the apostille in the issuing country through our international network.
Can Soviet-era documents be apostilled?
Usually not directly — a duplicate in the current Kyrgyz format has to be obtained first. We can handle that retrieval for you.
